John W. Wisor

Now in the third stage of my life and originally trained as a psychologist, I formally retired in 2010 and eventually discovered the power of the creative and complementary refuges of photography, yoga, the circus arts.  Although I have been making images since my mother gave me her Brownie 620 as a nine-year-old, I find truth (sometimes) and delight in sharing stories that have no words irrespective of which side of the camera I am on. In the moment I see and I create.  Sometimes the image works and sometimes it does not.  I play with what I see mentally and with the tools of my trade.  The image created may evolve into something that is more than the sum of its parts.  Some of the images will survive and many will not.  And hopefully others will see at least part of what I see.
